Fujifilm FinePix Review F60fd

The standard $64,000 question seems to be what digital camera we should buy. And which one will fit into the budget and give the most bangs for the buck. Well here is a review on the FinePix F60fd digital camera that truly meets the standard requirements. But check it out as it may be just what you are searching for and fits into the budget.

Let’s look at the stats first: For the users that are the most-happy when they can rely on the trouble free auto mode of operation the Fuji F60fd rises to the occasion. The larger 3” screen and scene recognition that is intelligent technology does indeed make things easy for the user. The camera under its stylish sleek black case you find a combination of 12 megapixel high resolution and high sensitivity for perfect pictures every time. You find duel image stabilization and ISO sensitivity up to 1600 or as high as 6400 when in 3 megapixel mode. The 3X zoom is equal to 35 to 105mm covers most all occasions for the avid picture taker. For the more discriminating photographer that prefers creative control over their point and shoot photography the F60fd offers full control.

Auto Scene Recognition

The Intelligent Scene Recognition technology detects a scene without the need of pre-selecting the mode on the camera is perfect for fast point and shoot. Fujifilm has developed technology to automatically identify different scenes; Portrait, Night, Landscape, and Macro. Once the scene has been detected, the camera will optimize the settings accordingly to capture the photo of your chosen subject with the utmost in clarity, detail, and color.

The Fuji FinePix F60fd Pros

Excellent low light performance the 800 ISO is excellent compared to the 400 ISO settings of other camera brands. This model excels indoors without the use of the flash at the 400 ISO setting. The pictures are bright and sharp and provide quality pictures. When using the flash a touch more clarity is gained but without the pictures are not blurry or too dark.

Another exceptional feature is face detection works really well even when the subject is not looking at the camera. Another real plus is the option to turn it on or off with the touch of a button with no need to explore the menu.

Many used enjoy the white balance as it is very good indoors. It not perfect but it does not turn white into yellow or brown either. Of course many digital cameras have a lot of trouble with indoor lighting without the flash.

The Fujifilm FinePix F60fd Cons

When used in the auto mode for indoor pictures the pre-set ISO setting is not good. You must lower the setting to 800 ISO or 400 ISO and your pictures indoors turn out bright enough.

By default the camera selects the upper limit of 1600 and 800 ISO setting. This is not good as 100 or 200 would have been a better default choice. You must set manually the ISO for indoors to 400 ISO or 800 if it’s not a lit environment then you will get some really good shots.
